A meeting will be held in the Druids' Hall, Shannon, to-night, at 8 o’clock, to consider the advisableness of forming a Town Board, or constituting Shannon a municipality. Some few years ago /he number of houses in Shannon was 150; to-dav there are 220 and none of them are empty. These figures denote a steady increase, and as the population in (dip township is now about 1100 building operations aro likely to become very brisk, to meet the growing demands for housing accommodation.
