AIERINOS AND CROSSBREDS SHOW ADVANCES.

(Received January 16, 0.6 a.m.) LONDON, January 15. The wool sales havo opened. There is a very firm tone. 50C8 bales of Australian, 1821 of New Zealand,- and 180 of South African were offered.
There was a fairly representative selection, and a 'largo attendance from, all quarters. There was splendid comjietition. Alcrinos were five per cent, higher, and crossbreds were slightly in sellers’ favour.
tow crossbreds barely maintained their position. Shabbier and coarse crossbreds were five per. cent, below tho December famine prices.
