PZSODSSION ON SOIL FERTILITY. MELBOURNE, January 14. At the Science Congress there was a discussion on general problems of the soil fertility in Australia. Several papers on the subject were read. The general opinion was that fertilisers in Australia were seldom worked out of cultivated land. Practically the whole of what was infused by the crop remained as a permanent addition to the soil within a nine-inch Surface.
