Tho Westport Coal Company's collier Regains has properly joined tho list of unemployed vessels. She will be laid up indefinitely, and as her present berth at the Clyde quay wharf is required by the Harbour Board sbo will be moved out into the stream to-day. Yesterday tho managing director of the company, Mr G. Joachim, arrived in Wellington and, after consideration of the trouble which has arisen, endorsed tho refusal of tho company's marine superintendent, Captain Lobb, to accede to the demand made by tbo Seamen’s Union for the appointment of two additional men in the stokehold. The men are equally determined not to give way, and so tho vessel cannot sail.
