RECIPROCITY DESIRED TRADE BETWEEN NEW ZEALAND AND VANCOUVER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received October 24, 0.15 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Octobc r 24. Sir James Mills, managing director of tho Union Steam Ship Company of Now Zealand, interviewed hero, said he had met Mr G. E. Foster, Canadian Minister of Trade and Customs, recently in London, and assured him that the people of Australia were extremely anxious to negotiate for reciprocity with Canada. The Commonwealth was desirous of improving communications with Canada, wherever possible. The Dominion’s products woro finding ready markets in Australia and New Zea,land, and since Auckland had been made a port of call for Vancouver boats the trade between New Zealand and Canada had received a great stimulus. FIJI FAVORS RECIPROCITY. (Received October 24, 9.19 p.nT.) SUVA, October 24. The Legislative Council carried a motion favoring reciprocal trade relations with Canada and New Zealand, and decided to appeal to tho Commonwealth, through tho Homo Government, to remove tho duty on Fiji bananas.

FEELING FAVORS CLOSER RELATIONS. (Received October 25, 1.12 a.m.) MELBOURNE, October 24. Replying to a question in the House Mr Fisher said he bad good reasons for believing there was a growing sentiment in New Zealand for closer reciprocal relations with tho Commonwealth regarding trade and defence. He felt sure, from unofficial correspondence he had received, this feeling was growing.
