A MISSING MAN
DISAPPEARANCE OP PA HI A TIT A RESIDENT. Press Association. PAHIATUA, October 21. Some anxiety has been caused in Pahiatua during the past week owing to the mysterious disappearance of Mr E. Marriott, hairdresser. Mr Marriott left his home in Wakeman street on Sunday evening, and has not been heard of since, though inquiries have been instituted. He is secretary of the Bush Boxing Association and a member of the committee of the Honorary Territorials’ Association. An overcoat and a cap which were found on the bank of the river at Mangatainoka by an angler last week are believed to have belonged to Mr Marriott. Tfao care of Mr Marriott’s wife and family has been taken in hand by several local residents, who ha've subscribed money on the family’s behalf.
