“ CAPITAL LEAVING AUSTRALIA.” COMPLAINT BY EMPLOYERS’ FEDERATION. MELBOURNE, September 9. The president of the Employers’ Federation, referring to the industrial unrest, said a marked lack of confidence was making itself felt in tho community. Capital was leaving Australia. These facts were attributable to burdensome legislation, extravagance of the Governments, and the extreme demands mado by the more Socialistic union leaders. He predicted financial disaster. THE CHURCH AND THE WORKERS. SYDNEY, September 9. Tlie Presbyterian General Assembly, on the suggestion of Mr Fisher, appointed a committee to report on the causes of the apparent antagonism between employers and employed. The committee says the reason is tho drift of the masses from tho Church, whose methods need remedying.
