COUGH LOZENGES
DOCTOR COMES ACROSS A NEW VICE. SPECIAL TO TH33 "TIMES.** CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. A well-known, local doctor told a "News'* reporter to-day that bo had come upon two oases of a new and strange vice recently. In all parte of the world there were drug deads who * wiyne, presumably account me email juantity of opium princip contained in it, and in Christchurch he had met two men who habitually ate huge quantities of a popular cough lozenge which contained chforodyne. A chemist's assistant, who was told the story, said that from bis own experience he could say that there were a number of people who bought such lozenges very regularly and ate them.
