CZAR RESTORES HONOURS TO UNCLE.
The Grand Duke Paul of Russia, wh« was disgarced on account of his marriage with Mmc. Pietolkors. the divorced wife of a Russian officer, has been restored to his former dignities by his nephew, the' Czar. . _ The Grand Duke fell in love witu_ Mm* Pistolkors. and after she .had obtained • divorce married her. The couple lived abroad, and ’the Grand Duke, Paul ob* [tained a title for his wife, who l is now known as the Countess of Hehenfelsen. The Czar permitted his uncle to return to Russia for the funeral of the Grand Duke ’Alexis, who also had con* tracted a morganatic marriage with • French actress, who belonged to the Im*perial Mikhailovsky Theatre in BbPetersburg. . _ ,_ , It is understood that the Grand Duk* Paul will continue to live most of the year abroad, as his wife will under no circumstances lie received at the Russian! Court. In consequence of the reinstatement of the Grand Duke Paul in tbo good graces of the Emperor of Russia, the German Emperor has been able to associate his name once more with that of the Brandenburg Cth Cuirassier Regl' ment as second honorary commander.
