A FALSE DECLARATION
PEEKS ASSOCIATION. WESTPORT, August 2. An elderly man was convicted to-day for wilfully making a false statement in respect to his balance at the bank when applying for-t he old-age pension. The department did not press for n penalty, stating that it was intended the case should bo a warning.
