DAYLESFORD STRIKE
SETTLEMENT EFFECTED. (Received August 2, 11.45 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 2. The strike of Daylesford miners has ended, the employers conceding the men’s demand that they should be paid for a forty-eight hour week although only working forty-seven hours.
