The box plan for tho tournament at the Town Hall on Wednesday next opens this morning, and it is anticipated that there will be a good demand for seats. The contest between Hannan and Murphy is likely to prove keen, and there should be little difference at the end of the fifteen rounds. Murphy was one of the best of the local amateurs before joining the professional ranks, since when he has added considerably to his experience by his association with the contingent of Am. erican champions who visited Australia recently. Those who have seen him in action will appreciate his fast, clover work and his knoweldgo of all points of tho game. Hannan’s forceful stylo is well known to local enthusiasts, and it is reported that he has been showing remarkably good work in training, so that he may be depended upon to give a good account of himself. Preliminaries will be provided by local and visiting amateurs.
