REPRESSIVE LEGISLATION. (Received, July 31, 9.25 p.ra.l MELBOURNE, July 31. The Legislative Council has passe-1 a Bill to prevent youths under, eighteen from purchasing or carrying pea rifles or saloon guns. Heavy penalties are jirovided for selling, giving, or lending weapons.
