One hundred and .ten m„le 'patients have been removed from the mental hos.pital ..wjf.hin, . the , last two days. ; Of these fifty were taken to Tohaanu on .Monday, and the remaining sixty were transferred to M’oluihi ;island yesterday. -As - tar -as the general overcrowding of the mental -hospital is'concerned ; the transfer of these patients will afford considerable relief. .The, sixty..then who have gone to the island' have been housed in-two fairly - coaifortable ■ - two-story buildings, in /which , sleeping I accommo-dation-has "been provided in toe shape’of small dormitories and single rooms. ■ The patients at Quarantine Island have been left in charge of . six, attendants, :who will be changed each month, so that the monotony of the!:life out iii the gulf, may not become a’ hardship.
