PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, July 30. On June 29th the scow Era was off Brown’s Island, when ono of her able seamen. Samuel Mads worth, was knocked overboard by the foresheet. Last Sunday the body of a man was discovered lying on the beach at Maori Bay, and was identified as that of the unfortunate seaman. At the Inquest to-day a verdict of accidental death was returned. The body of a man was found in the Waikato river last night, about seven miles above Mercer, The features are unrecognisable, and the condition of the body indicates that it had been in the water probably a month or so. An envelope found in a .pocket of the man’s clothes bears ilie name of "Mr POoloy, Kehncr's avenue, Kingsland.” DROWNED IN A CREEK. GISBORNE, July 30. At the inquest on R. W. Lang, whose body was found in the Waikanae creek, a verdict was returned of found drowned.' There was no evidence to show how deceased got into the water.
