WHERE TO STRIKE.
AT THE BALLOT BOX. It may bo true that the capitalist /ystom cairnot survive a recurrence of yonoral strikes, but at any rate it has shown that so far it can survive as many of them, as tho workers have as Set been able to call, and united polical action ot least docs not suffer by a comparison with tho general strike method.
However, it is fairly certain that the absolute choice of weapons with which tho workers shall fight tho class struggle does not lio altogether with them. Tho weapon that can only ho used now and than, and that is at times not available when wanted, must at least for tho time being bo abandoned in favor of one that is more available.
It Is true that political action can only manifest itself periodically, but those periods are fixed, are well known beforehand, and can bo prepared for, while it is much more difficult to fix a period when great masses of workers In any industry will bo prepared to engage in a general strike and will with a certainty respond when called upon. In the last resort It will bo found pea*, haps that the easiest way is tho most "natural,” and that tho fight against Capitalist class rale and exploitation must bo carried on mainly with the most available weapon and the one that can ho wielded whenever requiredi.—"New York Call.”
