raOM OUE OWN coeeespondbnt Four territorials, who failed to pay their fines when before the magistrate a fortnight ago, elected to go to gaol yesterday. Three of the youths hall from Petone, and one from Lower Hutt. The names of the Petone lads are,.E. Stephens, J. Nunn and J. Jenkins. A young man named Qeorge Ernest Nicholas was arrested at Lower Hutt on Saturday on a charge of alleged embezzlement. Accused was before llr J. \V. JleEwan, J.P., and remanded to appear at Lower Hutt next Saturday. Bait was allowed on his own surety of £SO and two sureties of £SO each.
