A CORNER SECTION.

AM) CONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD. Legal argument was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday by his Honor Mr Justice Cooper in the case of Edward Andrew Bonthorne, ironmonger, of Wellington, plaintiff, and Christina Backstrom, of Trenthara, wife of Christian Backstrom, defendant. Mr F. B. Petheriek appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr T. C. A. Hislop for the defendant. It was alleged by the plaintiff that he bought from tbe defendant a section of land on the representation that a road would bo formed, making tbe land a corner section. The defendant had since expressed her intention of using for another purpose the land originally set aside for a road. Plaintiff asked for an injunction restraining her from doing this. The case had been partially heard some time ago. After hearing argument his Honor reserved decision.
