AN ERRANT SHELL

LONDON, July 28. During a night attack by torpedoboat destroyers off Spithead, in connection with the mobilisation pt the Portsmouth garrison, a shell whizzed past the Haslar Hospital, instead of being aimed at the moving targets accompanying the warships, and was embedded in the lawn of the hospital, but did not explode.
