MEAT WORKS BURNED

BRISBANE, July 29. Foggitt, Jones, and Company’s bacon and meat canning factory was totally destroyed by fire. It is eight miles distant from here, and there was no water and no brigade to fight the fire. The loss is estimated at £30,000. The insurances on the building, stock, and plant totalled £29,945 in the Royal office. ■ This is largely reinsured.
