LADIES’ TOURNAMENT OFF! DEADLOCK OYER STATUS OF COUNTRY TEAMS. PEESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. July 29. The annual ladies' hockey tournament which was to have been - held in Auckland in September, will not now take place here owing to a deadlock between the New Zealand Management Committee and the local executive over the arrangement for the junior tournament The Auckland ladies wished to include country teams as juniors, but headquarters insisted on their being inclnded in the senior draw. Neither side wo>uld give way. WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The following are the fixtures for to. morrow,;—Petone v. Karori, at Petona, referee, Mr Cusack; Hereawa t. Pakehv at Karori, referee, Mr McKenzie.
