Organise a Branch of the United Labor Party
Do not wait for anything or anybody. The United Labor Party must he organised everywhere. If there is no branch in your neighbourhood and you are not a member of a trades union already allied with the United Labor Party, sign the application below and send it in at once, and become an individual member of the national organisation. But if you can get five or more of your neighbours to join you, and there are some single families with more than five voters in the one house—if you can get five or more to join you, sign up the following, forward it at once, and the matter will he taken up with the Electoral Branch of the United Labor Party and a charter will be forwarded at once. • • • Cut this out or copy it. Dear' Sir, —We, the undersigned, acknowledge ourselves members, and agree to accept and loyally adhere to the principles, rules, constitution, objective, and platform of the United Labor Party of New Zealand, and to record our votes for the selected Labor candidate of the Party at every election; and if any one of us shall be elected as the Party’s candidate at any election wo agree each for himself to do tho utmost to carry out the principles embodied in the Party’s platform, and on all questions affecting the platform and policy of the Party or affecting the fate of a Government, vote as a majority of the members elected as representatives of tho Party may decide at a duly constituted caucus meeting. These names have been secured by and if the charter shall bo granted, the organisation will be known as Electoral Branch and tho regular national dues of 2d per month per member paid regularly.
