HOMEBUSH PRICES HIGH.
(Received July 25. 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. Prime stock continues scarce, and at the Homebnsh market to-day prices were exceptionally high. Merino ewes sold up to 375. and crossbreds 36s 3d. Cattle showed an all-round advance of £1 a head on recent sales.
The rahge of prices last week at Home> bush for fat cattle was as follows medium-weight bullocks £l2 10s to £l3 10s, prime heavy bullocks £l4 to £ls, odd beasts to £l6 12s 6d, prim© light bullocks and steers £lO to £ll ss, good bullocks and steers £8 to £9 ss, good light steers £6 6g to £7 ss, medium and light bullocks and steers £4 15s to £5 10s, rough and light steers £3 to £4. prime cows and heifen £7 15s to £8 15s, odd extra prime cows and heifers to £lO 15s, good cows and heifers £5 15s to £6 15s, medium cows and heifers £3 to £4 10s, rough sorts lower. CONSOLS STILL LOWER. (Received July 25, 10.45 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. Imperial Consols closed yesterday at £7\ 12s 6d, a drop of 2s 6d since the previous day. WHEAT YIELD. EUROPE, NORTH AMERICA, AND INDIA-. (Received July 25, 10.45 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. The International Agricultural Institute! estimates the wheat production of Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland. the United States, India, Japan, Great Britain, and Tunis at 845,000,000 cwt, being 96.2 per cent, of the production of the same countries in 1911.
