SOLD TO AN UNKNOWN PARTY. SAN FRANCISCO; July 24. Christmas Island has been sold to an unnamed buyer. Father Rougier negotiated the sale from the Greig family, owners of the island. Christmas Island is the reputed original, of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “ Treasure Island.”
