HOTEL BURGLARY CHARGE.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. WAIBOA. July 23. In connection with the breaking and entering of the store room of the Wairoa Hotel on Friday taot, Edwin James Harmer, whose wife keeps a boardinghouse, was yesterday charged with the offence and with stealing bottles of various liquors. A pair of boots thrown into the river as the police were approaching, and fished out. together with plaster casts of footmarks formed the chief evidence. Accused pleaded not guilty and reserved bis delence. Bail was allowed in the sum of £3OO. -
