WANGANUI BRIDGE
COUNCIL AND CONTRACTOR. PEESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, July 23. The Borongh Council to-night considered its solicitor's opinion in regard to the council's position over the contract for the new bridge. The contractor has abandoned the work, as the piles will not drive. The conncil decided to give the contractor final notice to proceed with his contract.
