TEACHERS SCARCE
DEPARTMENT TO BE APPEALED TO. PEESS ASSOCIATION.
TIMA BIT, July 23. Tho Education Board to-day deplored tho sliortago of teachers, having three times advertised for three assistants for country schools. It was decided to advertise once more before appealing to the department. One member suggested .that there would bo plenty of teacbors after the next holidays at the training colleges. Another said that ip many cases,, pupil teachers went to college and no more was heard of them.
