Wharf laborers allege that a “ring” is sending the primest meat to London, where it is sold for less than inferior meat fetches here.

They threaten, unless the price of meat is reduced to a reasonable price, to strike against handling any frozen shipments. The feeHng in shipping circles is that the real cause of the unrest is a desire for a further increase in wages.
