Tho Howard Smith Company’s now steamer Time was being towed to Hartlepool to havo her engines put in, when she was stranded on the Seaton Carpw Sands, Durham. Her position is «n« that makes her removal difficult.
CANEA, July 21
The German steamer Paros, 3576 tons, has been burned, after several warships’ ineffectual efforts, to extinguish the flames.
SYDNEY, July 22,
The Ladysmith and Candidate (ketches) and_ Curlew (scow) aro still overdue. It is supposed they have been blown to sea in the recent storm. TWO VESSELS SIGHTED. (Received July 22, 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 22. Two of the three overdue sailers were sighted to-day off the coast. One was flying signals that medical assistance was required, one of tho crew having been injured.
