"BURGLARS IN WELLINGTON;”
EXCITEMENT IN WILLIS STREET. Burglaries have been rather frequent in Wellington lately, and only a few nights ago as Constable Thompson was doing his rounds on Lambton quay did he discover the intruders in a well known outfitter’s shop, and after an. exciting scuffle managed to secure his man. Excitement, however, of quite another nature has and is daily taking place in Willis street at the Art Furnishing Ware, house of Messrs W. F. Shortt, Ltd., where this firm is now chawing one of the finest selections of art furniture in the Dominion, which, together with phenomenally low prices, first-class workmanship and finish make that house second to none. As in the past Messrs W. F. Shortt, Ltd., will endeavour to keep np the reputation they have already earned by supplying goods that are made of thoroughly seasoned timber and finished in a manner that will reflect credit on any home. Every article manufactured carries a guarantee with it, while all goods for places out of Wellington are carefully packed and delivered on the train or steamer without any extra charge to the purchaser.—Advt.
