Canon William Oharlee Sadlier woe consecrated fourth Bishop of Nelson today by tho Primate Bishop Nevill, of Dunedin, assisted by tho Bishops of Auckland and Wellington, Bishop Mules, the retiring Bishop of Nelson, being •bsont through indisposition. The service was wholly choral, the combined choirs > of tho local Anglican churches rendering the music. Sixteen diocesan clergy participated. The preacher was Bishop Crossfey, who dealt with the Church in relation to present-day world movements, and the adaptability of the Anglican episcopate to the conditions everywhere. Bishop Sadlier _ was enthroned this afternoon, tho visiting bishops and clergy again being present. The sermon was preached by Bishop Sprott. The cathedral was crowded to tho doors at both •wva oca.
