BOY’S DISAPPEARANCE
A POLICE THEORY. PBBSS ASSOCIATION. ‘ CHRISTCHURCH, July 20. So far nothing further has been heard of tho missing boy “Bobbie” Smith. The river has been dragged, but without avail, and the detectives are now engaged on another theory The child 8 real mother, who. is divorced, is believed to have, left Auckland, where she has been living, at about the time of the disappearance, and it is thought possible that she may know something of it. Up to midday, however, attempts to find her have met with no success. ■ The police reported to-day that they had received an offer from a number of girl scouts to assist this afternoon.
