A thousand strikers waited at tho entrance to the Surrey Commercial Dock, armed with knives, bottles, and stones, for 200 non-unionists to take their luncheon hour. They rushed the publichouses where tho non-unionists lunched and attempted to wreck them. One landlord fired a revolver, and kept back the mob until the non-unionists escaped by the back windows. A number were sent to hospitals suffering from shot wounds. A great crowd collected, and the mounted police made baton charges and restored order.
