THE WEATHER PROSPECTS
GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. Thursday) are for strong "southerly and southeasterly winds, squally at times, in most parts of the country, with cold and changeable weather. >' Heavy showers probable, on the East Coast especially. Frosts are to be expected inland at night. The barometer is unsteady, but is due to rise in the south. There is a falling tendency in the north, but little movement indicated at present. / (Details on shipping page.)
