annual club meeting. Mr Atkinson presided at the annual meeting of the Y.M,C.A. Old Boys’ Club, ■which was held in the reception hall on Thursday. About thirty were present, and the meeting was.characterised by enthusiasm. The report stated that the ■past year had he«ix one of the nxo6t ceesfol in the history of the club, and this was due in a great measure to the efforts displayed by the chairman. On the departure of Mr Holmes the club expressed its sdnoerest -wishes for his welfare in his new sphere of hie. The club held a successful encampment at Paekakariki last Christmas, and thanks are due to Messrs Smith Bros, for the use of their land. The religious sideof the club has not been overlooked. The weekly Bible class has been well attended. Regret was expressed at the death of Vernon Richardson, who was killed while out with the D Battery at Peitone. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr M. Mathieson; chairman, Mr F. C. Atkinson (re-elected); hon. secretary, Mr B. Mabin; committees: religious, Messrs W. Baker, R. Coad and J. jjennox; membership, Messrs H. Lay, M. Hodge and H. Patehett: social and games, Messrs E. Roberto, W. - Wilson, and H. McQirr; executive to be the chairman of each committee with, the other officers of the club. Practices of the Shakespeare Club and nigger minstrel troupe were held for the coming concert, at which all old boys of the association are invited. An endeavour is to be made to start a boxing class, debating club'and a glee.club in addition to the various activities already in hand. ■ '
