ALLEGED BRIBERY
INQUIRY WANTED INTO STATEMENT BY A MINISTER.

In the Legislative Assembly, Mr Henley, referring to the statement by Mr Griffith, Minister for Works, that there had been foul play in connection with the Government brickworks, demanded a public inquiry in the interests of himself and the men who had been dismissed from the works.
\ Mr Griffith’s allegation, mad© in the Assembly last week, was to the effect that Mr Henley had tried to bribe'the employees at the State brickworks to allow the fires to die down, in order to spoil thousands of bricks.
