Mr William Murray, general manager of tho Christchurch Moat Company, who lias been away from New Zealand for six months on what was intended to be a business trip in England, returned yesterday on the steamer Eotorua with his family. Unfortunately, Mr Murray's health, broke down 6oon after arrival in England, and an operation became- necesoary, so that ho was unable to take much part in business affairs. Ho has benefited greatly by tho outward voyage.

The Rev. J. A. Lush arrived on the Botorua from England yesterday to take •up his appointment as vicar of Haveloek Noith Hawke's Bay. Ho has already ■visited Now Zealand, having been tutor to a son of Mr A. E. Ch Rhodes, Christchurch, from 1203 until 1906, when ho returned to England, and was ordained. His clerical experience has been in North of England cities, and he is of the activo, robust type of cleric who should find Now Zealand lifo congenial.
