The Legislative Council discussed the question of prize-fighting. "One member declared that" prize-fighting was disgraceful, and had degenerated into a matter of gate-money. Mr Flowers, Chief Secretary, said ho could see no .good in going to extremes; so long as there were suitable regulations, reasonable men ought to be satisfied. U
