IRISH HOME RULE
MR BONAR LAW’S THREAT
UNIONISTS WILL OPPOSE TO THE LAST GASP. By Telegraph—Press Association —CopyritliV (Received December 8, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, December 8. " Mr Bonar Law, speaking at Bootle, emphasised that it was utterly impossible for Home Rule to bo carried as part of the Liberals’ corrupt political bargain. Ho remarked that although to grant Homo Rule to Ireland would, from a party standpoint, bo an advantage to tho Unionists, inasmuch as the Nationalists were solidly against them, tho Unionists wore determined to oppose Hqjno Rule to the last gasp. When the time came there would bo no shrinking, but strong action to defeat one of tho most ignoble conspiracies over formed against tho liberties of freeborn men.
