WELL-MERITED SENTENCE
TRESS ASSOCIATION. NELSON, December 8. At tbe Supremo Court to-day, before Mr Justice Chapman, James Whiting, found guilty of attempting to carnally know his daughter, fourteen years of ago, and indecently assaulting her, was sentenced to' seven years’ imprisonment. A nolle prosequi was entered on a charge of incest.
