GREAT demand exists in. -most towns nowadays for small flvfe or ■ six-roomed cottages, and :n tlxa case of those in suburban districts or at seaside or other resorts the bungalow type is favoured. Such an one as is illus. trated above (from an American journal) may be erected at no great expense. Its interior arrangement, as shown in the plan, does not seem as convenient aa might be, but anyone building could easily make such alterations as pleased him. The size of the main portion of the building, not including, the’ rear extension, is 30ft wide by 20ft deep. A small basement under the kitchen will be found very useful. The main walls are Bft 6in high and the sizes of the various rooms are-. Living room, 10ft x ISftf dining 12ft; kitchen, 9£t Gin x lOft. All the rooms are well lighted, and in the dining room the Latch window is fitted with a seat. The bath room opens out of the kitchen, thus bringing all the p lumbing work close together. There is a small rear porch, with cellar steps leading down from it.
