SYDNEY WHARF LABOURERS EVIDENCE BEFORE BOARD OF INQUIRY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copy light SYDNEY, December 7. Before the Wharf Labourers’ Board, the secretary of the Wharf Labourers’ Union expressed the opinion that the working of deep-sea and inter-State vessels was now on a par. Another witness contended that the work on coastal vessels was harder than ou the better-paid decn-sea vessels. . MOUNT LYELL WORKS. TO BE RE-OPENED ON MONDAY NEXT. HOBART, December 7. Tho Mount Lyell Smelting Works will reopen on Monday next after eleven weeks’ idleness owing to Labour disputes.
