FINE AT WANGANUI
BOARDINGHOUSE DESTROYED. PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, December 7. At half-past 4 o’clock this morning a fifteen-roomed boarding establishment, known as Wellington House, was completely gutted by fire. The brigade was promptly on the scene, its excellent work preventing what threatened to be a disastrous conflagration, as Jobnston and Co.’s bond store and a timber merchant’s esfcalblishment • (adjoined the burning building, and a gale of wind was blowing. The building is owned ,by Mr (3alek, Wellington, and the insurances are unknown.
