SOME SEW MEMBERS MR C. K. WILSON. Mr C. K. Wilson, who fought Taumarunui for tho Reform party,, is an ‘Australian by birth. Arriving: in New Zealand at the age of seventeen without money or prospects, he turned his hand to any sort of country work. Later he acquired an interest in Land at Levin, and .remained in that district till 1909 over twenty. years. . For a good part of that time he was associated with the firm of Abraham and Williams, and remained as manager and auctioneer for the West Coast. Mr Wilson has represented his district as a -bounty councillor and member of tho road board, and also took an active .part in the formation of the Farmers’ Union. lie was district representative at the first conference of the latter. His interests are thot?© ol the land.

Mr Ernest Pag© Lee, of the, firm .of Messrs Lee, Grave, and Grave, was born at. Teignmquth • (England) in .1862. Ho received bis, education at Cheltenham and London, and at the age of eighteen years was articled to a prominent firm of West of England solicitors. Mr Leo partly served* his articles with this firm, and adopting the ,usual custom finished off with the firm’s London agents. In 1885 he was admitted to the Supreme Court of England as a. solicitor, and in 1886 lie came to New Zealand, settling in Oamaru, Shortly after his, arrival here Mr Lee qualified as a barrister and solicitor. After practising for two years he accepted, when Mr Hislop became a Minister of the Crown, a managing clerkship with- the firm of Messrs Hislop and Creagh, and remained in that posl-' tion. for .eight years. Subsequently Mr Lee again entered into practice on his own account, but later took Mr A. G. Grave as partner. Mr Lee lias always taken a lively interest in local politics, and for a number of years served a© a borough. councillor. lie is. a-prominent member of the North. Otago Jockey Club, and one of its founders. For twentyfive year's he has been a member of the committee of the Athenaeum and Mechanics.’ Institute, the care of which institution Mr Lee makes qu’to a hobby.
