The executive committee of the Wellington Rifle Association met last evening and allocated a number of valuable . trophies pi-esented by business firms to, the various matches to he fired at the Wellington champion meeting at Tren- ■ tham on January Ist and 2nd next The secretary reported that letters had beep received from all parts of the 'district and from Marlborough and Nelson, asking for programmes and promising sup. port. Everything points to a most suo' cessful gathering.
