DUNEDIN, December 6. > There ’was a * recurrence- this evening of the disorderly street scenes which haws prevailed during the past four evenings, Hacks and garbage were thrown in ull and tho largo body of policor who. were on tho scene were frequently!, ; hustled by the crowd, numbering several ; thousand. During the'evening four ar* rests wore made. .Charges of throwing , missiles have been preferred in three in- - stances, and in the, fourth a charge of assaulting a constable, which consisted. o£ ■■■ striking him with a wet sack. On tho* occasion of the last arrest a large crowd followed the police to the station, hooting ■ and boohing. The police drew-their bate mi v'hen "proceedings assumed a tiireatenina aspect. Stones were thrown, one break* ing.a window at the police station.
