GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. Friday) are for southerly winds, strong to gale, generally. - Heavy rain probable in many parts, especially on the East Coast.. Colder weather expected, with snow on higher levels in the south. The barometer is likely to rise smartly everywhere soon, and more settled conditions follow in the early part of next week.
