.FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. The funeral of tho late Mr Richardson took place on Wednesday afternoon. There were a large following of friends. The Rev. Mr Compton, M.A. (Church of England), read tho burial service. Tho sale of work by the Sunshine Guild of the Methodist Church was a huge success. The room was crowded from the opening.. The Rev. Mr Mardcn thanked Airs Carter and tho Sunshine girls and all who had assisted in making the affair such a success. The bowling and tennis clubs opened up the season on' Wednesday afternoon. The green was filled and presented a lively appearance. There were visitors from Otaki, Levin and Foxton. A very enjoyable time was spent. 4 Mrs Gunning, wife of the president of the Bowling Club, invited all as . her guests to afternoon .tea supplied on the green.. ; The ladies of the tennis club rendered every assistance.
Mr J. R- Stansell in his land sale to date lias disposed .of fifty allotments. ■Tho purchasers are bona fid© residents buying with the object of building. .
