Mr Jennings takes a paternal pride in his electorate.- Yesterday he gave notice of hia intention to ask the Minister of Defence whether he was aware that in the Taumarunui electorate candidates for tho territorial- force in many instances eclipsed the world’s records for weight, stature, etc.—one young fellow under eighteen years of ago turning the scale at 18 stone, another of tho same age being lift 3in high and built in proportion, another not sixteen years of age eft high and turning the scale at over 13 stone; and, if so, will ho direct the attention of associates of local eugenic societies ,tq above instances for the purpose of inquiry. -
