CHRISTCHURCH EXHIBITION
A GREAT SUCCESS ANTICIPATED,
PEESB ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, October 11. The executive of the Industrial Exhibition has decided that the exhibition is to b© opened at noon on Thursday, Ootobor 26th. Tho speakers are to bo the President of tno exmuxiion committee, the president 'of the Canterbury Trades and Laboor Council, and the official representative of tho Government, who will declare the exhibition open. A luncheon is to be hold afterwards, at which the speakers will be the presidents of the Trades Connoil, Industrial Association, Employers’ Association, Bishop Julius. Bishop Grimes the Moderator of tho Presbyterian Church, representatives of other religious denominations, and representative public men.
For tho various competitions in connection with the exhibition entries are being received in very large numbers. The space * committee allotted what it considered at the time ample space for the display of articles entered for competition . but the very numerous entries received to date seem to indicate that the space will be wholly inadequate, and the competitions committee os somewhat concerned to find accommodation for the exhibits. not only in the fancy ana needier work classes, but also in the skilled trade classes.
